the Yarn Therapist
I am an avid fiber artist specializing in crochet and knit design. I also love to weave, dye and felt. I call myself The Yarn Therapist because of my belief that fiber crafts are completely therapeutic.
They offer not only a sense of accomplishment and pride but also soothe the soul through creativity and the repetitive movement of hands. For children, handcrafts offer practice in patience, concentration and fine motor skill development.
The brain is geared to release the chemical dopamine whenever a pleasurable activity, sense of accomplishment and pride in one's work takes place. Fiber arts are healing arts in mind, body and soul. It is my mission to make the world a happier, more peaceful place through yarn.
